Examples
- January 1 to December 31 of the same year is 364 days, or 365 if you include the end date.
- From today to the same date next year is 365 days, or 366 if the period includes February 29.
- A four-week period with no holidays contains 20 business days.

How many days are between two dates?
Pick a start date and an end date. The calculator shows the total number of days plus the same period in years, months and days, in weeks, and in business days.
Should I include the end date?
By default the end date is not counted, so Monday to Tuesday is 1 day. Tick “Include the end date” if you are counting days you are present or working, such as a hotel stay or a leave period, where both the first and last day count.
How are business days counted?
Business days count Monday through Friday between the two dates. Public holidays are not removed.
Why can the month count differ from other tools?
Months have different lengths. This calculator counts whole calendar months first, then the remaining days. For example, Jan 31 to Mar 1 is 1 month and 1 day in a non-leap year.
